The Pet Portal concept is very simple; we take information from a wide range of contributors, get our experienced review panel to validate the content and then make it available in our searchable database.
It’s a fact that in the world of animal care and welfare lots of people know lots of things. They might be experienced keepers, vets, research workers, scientists, ecologists, zoo keepers……..well anyone really. The problem is that its not easy to identify the good information from the bad, so how do you know if you should use the information or not? Our aim is to give everyone the confidence to know that when they search our database the information they find has been checked and can be trusted.
Information database
The database is a collection of peer reviewed information including care sheets, scientific papers and field data. It is growing all the time so be sure to visit often.
